Veteran News-Talk and Sports programmer KEVIN BARRETT has exited the Station Manager/PD post at DESERT BROADCASTERS News-Talk KKGX-A-K256CU (KGX REAL TALK 920 AM/99.1 FM) and Adult Standards KWXY-A/PALM SPRINGS.

BARRETT, the former PD at KTRB-A (XTRA SPORTS 860)/SAN FRANCISCO, KTRS-A/ST. LOUIS, and KABZ (103.7 THE BUZZ)/LITTLE ROCK, told ALL ACCESS, "Both stations had gone dark in 2016 under the previous ownership, so it was very exciting to rebuild literally studios,and brands from the ground up, the stations are in a position for success, and I am interested in a new programming challenge."
