WCBM MARYLAND INC. News-Talk WCBM-A/BALTIMORE SATURDAY 6-8p (ET) host JIMMY MATHIS' bid for the MARYLAND Senate is off for now, as a judge has ordered MATHIS' removal from the ballot for the JUNE 26th Republican primary in MARYLAND's 42nd legislative district.
The MARYLAND DAILY RECORD reports that MATHIS' candidacy was challenged by fellow Republican DOUG RILEY, who alleged that MATHIS, who hosted on crosstown HEARST News-Talk WBAL-A before declaring his candidacy, did not reside in the district as required; BALTIMORE COUNTY Circuit Court Judge H. PATRICK STRINGER JR. agreed.
MATHIS previously ran for Congress in MARYLAND's Second Congressional District in 2006.
