BLUE RIDGE BROADCASTING Christian Inspirational WMIT (THE LIGHT 106.9)/ASHEVILLE, NC and CHICK-FIL-A partnered during “OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD COLLECTION WEEK,” resulting in over 3,500 shoeboxes collected for children around the globe.

From NOVEMBER 13-17, WMIT traveled to nine CHICK-FIL-A restaurants in ASHEVILLE, CHARLOTTE, HENDERSONVILLE, HICKORY and MORGANTON, NC; GREENVILLE and SPARTANBURG, SC; and JOHNSON CITY and KINGSPORT, TN. Listeners dropped off shoeboxes during lunch or dinner times and received a free CHICK-FIL-A sandwich for doing so.

“It was amazing to see how people responded and to hear the different stories about how OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD has touched so many lives,” said GM JIM KIRKLAND.
