CUMULUS News-Talk KKOB-A/ALBUQUERQUE PD/OM PAT FRISCH has added hosting duties for 1-3p (MT) weekdays to his programming responsibilities. FRISCH has been a frequent fill-in at the station and formerly hosted mornings in 2005-06; JIM FREESE will be producing the show.
“Some of the largest feedback we’ve received from our listeners is that they love our local programming and they love when PAT fills in on KKOB,” said VP/Market Manager JEFF BERRY. “This gives us the opportunity to enhance our live, local approach to radio and gives our listeners the chance to call in, be heard and hear the latest news and topics nationally and locally.”
The move gives KKOB local programming for 11 hours a day, as SCOTT STIEGLER moves up an hour to 3-6p and BRANDON VOGT to 6-7p to make room for FRISCH; PREMIERE's RUSH LIMBAUGH (10a-1p) and WESTWOOD ONE's MARK LEVIN (7-11p) and RED EYE RADIO (overnights) are the syndicated exceptions.
“I’m so excited to grab the reins from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.,” said FRISCH. “KKOB is as New Mexican as red or green and LOBOS or AGGIES. This move gives us even more opportunity to focus on serving NEW MEXICO.”
