ABC News To Offer Daily Morning News Podcast 'Start Here'

March 28th Debut

ABC NEWS is joining the growing list of news organizations offering a daily morning news roundup podcast.  "START HERE," hosted by BRAD MIELKE, will post weekdays by 6a (ET) starting MARCH 28th and will include 4 to 6 stories per episode.

“This new venture will provide expertise, curation and credibility as an antidote to information noise,” said VP/GM STEVE JONES. “The median age of podcast listeners is 29. BRAD’s inviting and energetic delivery powered by ABC NEWS gives us the opportunity to reach that next generation of ABC NEWS consumers in a medium they love, and allow them to not just hear the news, but to step inside of it and emerge better equipped for their day.”

The morning news podcast category has become one of the more successful, kicked off by THE NEW YORK TIMES' "THE DAILY" and NPR's "UP FIRST."
