COX Classic Country KKYX-A/SAN ANTONIO morning man "COUSIN" JERRY KING has announced his retirement from radio, effective FRIDAY, APRIL 20th. KING made the announcement via FACEBOOK, saying, "It is with mixed feelings that I let everyone know the COUSIN is going to retire...I'm out on vacation this week. While I'm in good health at 72, I feel it is time to retire. I'll still be doing things related to music. I want to thank all of my Country cousins for your friendship and for listening to me on KKYX through the many great years. With 53 years total in radio, and with KKYX for nearly 43 years, it has been a wonderful career. I am grateful for the opportunity to get to know many of you over those 43 years. This is where the cowboy rides away, and with gratitude and love for you all."
