CBC's 'Canada Reads' Names Panelists, Books

CBC RADIO ONE's "CANADA READS" competition has named the five celebrities and the books they will debate in the 2007 edition of the competition to choose a book for everyone in CANADA to read:
-BARENAKED LADIES co-leader STEVEN PAGE has chosen DAVID BEZMOZGIS' collection "NATASHA AND OTHER STORIES."
-BLUE RODEO frontman JIM CUDDY has chosen TIMOTHY TAYLOR's novel "STANLEY PARK."
-Novelist DONNA MORRISSEY has chosen ANOSH IRANI's novel "THE SONG OF KAHUNSHA."
-Author and broadcaster DENISE BOMBARDIER has chosen GABRIELLE ROY's "CES ENFANTS DE MA VIE" ("CHILDREN OF MY HEART," English translation by ALAN BROWN).
-THE WEAKERTHANS' JOHN K. SAMSON has chosen HEATHER O'NEILL's novel "LULLABIES FOR LITTLE CRIMINALS."
The debates will air FEBRUARY 26-MARCH 2 at 11:30a and 7:30p (noon and 8p NT) on CBC RADIO ONE, with BILL RICHARDSON hosting. The panel will vote one book off the show each day until a winner emerges. The publisher of the winning book will donate part of the book's sales to FRONTIER COLLEGE.
