WBZY Goes Regional Mexican As 105.3 El Patron

Former CLEAR CHANNEL Alternative WBZY (105.3 THE BUZZ)/ATLANTA, which had been simulcasting Active Rocker PROJECT 9-6-1 (NET NEWS 11/17), has flipped to Regional Mexican as 105.3 EL PATRON, the metro's only full-market Spanish-language station. It will be commercial-free until DECEMBER 4.

105.3 EL PATRON will feature music from core artists including LOS TIGRES DEL NORTE, GRUPO MONTEZ de DURANGO, INTOCABLE, ALEGRES de LA SIERRA, BANDA EL RECODO, BETO y SUS CANARIOS and VICENTE FERNANDEZ.

CLEAR CHANNEL/ATLANTA Pres./Market Mgr. CHUCK DESKINS said, "We are excited about the addition of EL PATRON to our family of stations. Spanish radio is the fastest-growing format in our industry. This puts us in a better position to offer more choices to our valued listeners and advertisers."
