Michael Caplan Becomes Columbia SVP/A&R, One Haven Pres.

MICHAEL CAPLAN is named Sr. VP/A&R at COLUMBIA RECORDS. In addition, he will serve as Pres. of ONE HAVEN, a new imprint headquartered at RED DISTRIBUTION's NEW YORK offices that will be distributed through both RED and SONY BMG SALES ENTERPRISE. CAPLAN has signed and will develop A&R strategies for several emerging artists including ENDEVERAFTER, RYAN SHAW, THIS IS ME SMILING, COPELAND and others.
CAPLAN had been Sr. VP/A&R at the SONY MUSIC LABEL GROUP U.S. since JANUARY 2006. Before co-founding and serving as Pres. of OR MUSIC -- signing LOS LONELY BOYS and MATISYAHU -- CAPLAN was Sr. VP/A&R of EPIC RECORDS from 1998-2002.
Michael Caplan has a proven track record of adventurous and successful signings.
