Ed Walsh To Succeed LaPierre At WBZ/Boston

ED WALSH is joining CBS News/Talk WBZ-A/BOSTON as the station's new anchor for the WBZ MORNING NEWS, effective JANUARY 1. 

WALSH, most recently news anchor at WBZ News sister WCBS-A/NEW YORK, is the replacement for longtime WBZ fixture GARY LAPIERRE, who is retiring on DECEMBER 29 after over four decades in the morning anchor role. WALSH has also served in programming and morning host roles at Buckley Talk WOR-A/NEW YORK and CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KFYI-A/PHOENIX.
