WBZ/Boston Reporter Lana Jones Passes Away

Condolences to family and friends of iHEARTMEDIA News WBZ-A/BOSTON general assignment reporter LANA JONES, who died suddenly this morning at UMASS MEDICAL CENTER in WORCESTER at 62.  JONES joined WBZ in 1991 after anchoring and reporting in the market at WAAF, WMJX (MAGIC 106.7), and WHDH-A.

PD BILL FLAHERTY said, “LANA was the consummate professional who could take a hundred page Supreme Court Decision and boil it down into a concise report for our listeners.  She knew everyone and everything. She will be greatly missed.”
 
iHEARTMEDIA BOSTON Region President ALAN CHARTRAND said, “I’ve always admired LANA’s work on WBZ Radio. She took the tough stories and made them easy to understand. Our deepest sympathies go out to LANA’s family and the newsroom.”
