Hip-hop artist SNOOP DOGG (real name CALVIN BROADUS) has been arrested again. It's his third arrest in three months. SNOOP was arrested after taping an appearance on "THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO." SNOOP was booked on charges of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana for sale and having a false compartment in a vehicle.
BURBANK police officers searched his vehicle just outside the NBC studios. A search warrant had been issued as part of an ongoing investigation surrounding a previous arrest in OCTOBER. SNOOP was arrested on drug and weapons charges on OCTOBER 26 near BURBANK's BOB HOPE AIRPORT. SNOOP was out on bail and scheduled to appear in court on DECEMBER 13 on those charges.
SNOOP surrendered to authorities to face a possession of a deadly weapon charge earlier this month after a SEPTEMBER 2006 incident at JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT in ORANGE COUNTY, CA. A search of SNOOP's luggage found a collapsable police baton. He is scheduled for arraignment on DECEMBER 4 in ORANGE COUNTY.
