BIG APPLE AIRCHECKS Honcho MATT SEINBERG recently had a worst case senerio happen - a hard drive failure that wiped out much of his aircheck library.
SEINBERG shares, "Unfortunately, the time has come for me to ask a favor. Just as I was going to do a back up on my main aircheck hard drive, it fell and there is an internal mechanical failure that renders it as useless as a brick. I sent it to a computer technician who couldn’t do anything, and he sent it to www.ontrack.com for them to repair it. Here’s the kicker; the repair is going to be about $1000, which I simply don’t have at the moment. My wife broke her foot in JANUARY, and has been out of work ever since, and she probably won’t be back at work for at least another month. Our income is down by 40%, and a weekly disability check just doesn’t cover the bills. I’ve had to use our home equity line of credit to pay some bills, and it’s been quite stressful to say the least.
"So I’m asking all of you as my friends to help just a little bit, and donate what you can so this repair can be done. If not, Big Apple Airchecks will go away in FEBRUARY when the current hosting fee expires. I simply do not have the time to convert everything again from tape to digital format. We’re talking hundreds of tapes, many of which are no longer recoverable or available. If everyone could donate $10, $20 or even a little more, the goal can be reached very quickly!"
