Thanks to the gracious folks at EPIC RECORDS for their wonderful hospitality last night (5/9), as A GREAT BIG WORLD returned to the intimate ROCKWOOD MUSIC HALL in NEW YORK for a 'welcome back' set in front of some of radio's most prominent programmers and a contingent of their biggest boosters and cheerleaders from the label.

Their close to forty minute performance included the new single "Younger," which arrives at radio (and everywhere else) tomorrow, with an add date set for 5/21.

On hand to enjoy the music and celebrate with the band from EPIC were label President SYLVIA RHONE, along with EVP/Promotion RICK SACKHEIM, SVP/Promotion CHARLIE FOSTER, SVP/Promotion SANDRA AFLOAREI and VP/Promotion SCOTT DIMIG. 

Radio was well represented, with an impressive turnout of programmers from multiple formats and cities.  LEO BALDWIN, PD of ALPHA MEDIA USA Hot AC WRMF/WEST PALM was front and center.  It was great to see BEASLEY BROADCASTING TOP 40 WNKS/CHARLOTTE PD JOHN REYNOLDS.  CONNOISSEUR MEDIA's Hot AC WALK/NASSAU-SUFFOLK MD DAVID OTERO was socializing, as was MIKE ALLAN, interim PROGRAM DIRECTOR for CUMULUS MEDIA Hot AC WPLJ/NEW YORK. From ENTERCOM, we hung with Hot AC WNEW/NEW YORK APD/MD FABI PIMENTEL, Hot AC WIAD/WASHINGTON, D.C. PD STEVE DAVIS and Hot AC WYMX/MILWAUKEE MD MOLLY CRUZ. The was a strong contingent from IHEARTMEDIA present, with lots of Big Apple love from Top 40 WHTZ/NEW YORK air personalities BRADY and SHELLEY ROME, Top 40 WKTU/NEW YORK MD BARTEL, Mainstream AC WLTW/NEW YORK PD CHRIS CONLEY, Top 40 KZHT/SALT LAKE CITY PD JEFF MCCARTNEY was back east, as well as Hot AC WHYN/SPRINGFIELD PD KEVIN JOHNSON.  From SAGA COMMUNICATIONS were HOT AC WVMX/COLUMBUS OM/PD MICHELLE MATTHEWS and Hot AC KSTZ/DES MOINES OM/PD SCOTT ALLEN.  In the house from SIRIUSXM were Hot AC THE PULSE Program Director JIM RYAN, as well as Mainstream AC THE BLEND Program Director HEIDI O/BRIEN.   Not to mention red-hot free agent JUSTIN RILEY, most recently programming for iHEARTMEDIA/SEATTLE.  And no New York City event could ever be complete without the always radiant IHEARTMEDIA EVP/Global Music Marketing ALISSA POLLACK lighting up the room.  After the band played, it was on to trendy downtown restaurant The Wren in the Bowery.
