Saga Ups Chris Forgy To SVP/Operations, Names Warren Lada To Board

A day after announcing WARREN LADA's pending departure as the company's COO (NET NEWS 5/24), SAGA COMMUNICATIONS has announced that LADA will be joining the company's Board of Directors, effective immediately, and that SAGA's COLUMBUS, OH President/GM CHRIS FORGY has been promoted to SVP/Operations.

On FORGY's move, President/CEO ED CHRISTIAN said, "CHRIS is a world class broadcaster whose contributions to SAGA will be very important and strategic as he joins us in the corporate office."

FORGY, who served as DOS at SAGA/COLUMBUS in 1995-2006 and worked at RADIO ONE/CLEVELAND as VP/GM in 2006-09 before returning to SAGA in 2011 as President/GM in COLUMBUS, said, "I have always dreamed of having this opportunity and am looking forward to working directly with ED as well as with SAGA's great team of broadcasters who I have had the honor to work with and alongside of for the past 20 years."

LADA's addition to the board increases the SAGA board's size to seven members.  LADA has been with SAGA for 27 years.
