EMMIS and ENTERCOM have petitioned to move former News-Talk KFTK-A-F-K254CR (FM NEWSTALK 97.1)/ST. LOUIS morning host JAMIE ALLMAN's suit for breach of contract from ST. LOUIS COUNTY Circuit Court to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of MISSOURI.
The petition to remove the case and have the federal court take jurisdiction is based on complete diversity of citizenship, with EMMIS and its subsidiaries located in INDIANA and ENTERCOM located in PENNSYLVANIA, with its subsidiaries having citizenship in DELAWARE and PENNSYLVANIA, and none of the companies claiming MISSOURI citizenship. ALLMAN, who was fired for a threatening tweet about PARKLAND survivor and teen activist DAVID HOGG, is a MISSOURI resident.
