2007 Is The Target For In-Car Video

SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO CEO MEL KARMAZIN tells REUTERS that its long-promised live TV service to cars will launch in late 2007, with three content deals "very close to being finalized" and coming as soon as JANUARY's CES.

KARMAZIN said that the TV material will be geared toward young viewers sitting in the back seat of equipped cars. He said, "The investment [in the video system] is already made, and the benefit for us is [average revenue per user].... You want to get more subscribers and increase your [average revenue per user], and one of the ways is with some other services, and video is one of them."
