The FCC database showed no new station transactions on WEDNESDAY morning (6/13).
Among the filings that did show up, TOWNSQUARE MEDIA AMARILLO LICENSE, LLC has applied for an STA to operate Top 40 KXSS-F (96.9 KISS FM)/AMARILLO with reduced power due to transmitter failure.
Filing for Silent STAs were FREELAND BROADCASTING CO., INC. (WCBL-A/BENTON, KY, transmitter malfunction); WENDOLYNN TELLEZ (K231CG/WACO, lost site); AMERICAN FAMILY ASSOCIATION (KVHR/VAN HORN, TX, no power during building renovation); and DESERT BROADCASTING, INC. (KBWR-LP/BURNS, OR, windstorm damage).
Requesting extensions of three Silent STAs was TURQUOISE BROADCASTING COMPANY, LLC (K282AU and K271BF/KODIAK, AK and K276FF/SEWARD, AK).
MORTENSON BROADCASTING COMPANY OF WEST VIRGINIA, LLC has closed on the sale of Southern Gospel WYSN-A (SPIRIT 1200), Southern Gospel WEMM-F (GOSPEL 107.9), and W237ER/HUNTINGTON, WV to BRISTOL BROADCASTING COMPANY, INC. for $2.5 million.
And GRA COMMUNICATIONS has closed on the sale of Country WHMT-A and W286BG (CAT COUNTRY 105.1)/TULLAHOMA, TN and W236DG/MANCHESTER, TN plus attached real estate to BOWMAN BROADCASTING, LLC for $55,000.
