The heirs to PRINCE's estate have alleged that the TIDAL streaming service has been lying about streaming data, which is reason enough for them to get out of their streaming deal. TMZ reports that the attorney for SHARON, NORRINE and JOHN NELSON sent a letter to the probate judge in PRINCE's case, accused TIDAL of "inflating the streaming numbers" for BEYONCE's "Lemonade" and KANYE WEST's "The Life of Pablo" by several hundred million streams, which would boost royalties paid to them.
TIDAL CEO RICHARD SANDERS has denied those allegations. Nevertheless, PRINCE's heirs are asking the judge to reconsider the order granting Tidal exclusive streaming rights for an upcoming album of unreleased PRINCE music.
