"THE O.C."'s SETH COHEN will probably be listening intently as ABC Sports KSPN-A (710 ESPN)/LOS ANGELES gives away over $20,000 in prizes for its "12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAKUH" contest. The prizes include packages like a "USC Experience" with footballs signed by USC greats (including -- shudder -- O.J,) and game tickets, and "experiences" for the CLIPPERS, ANGELS, and ESPN's X GAMES, plus a "Lazy Guy Experience" that includes a 42-inch LCD TV and mattress and more.
In other 710 ESPN news, the station is coming off a full week of live broadcasts in the SOUTHLAND by network morning man COLIN COWHERD in an event called "HAPPY HERD GIVING WEEK." His live broadcast last FRIDAY from the IRVINE SPECTRUM mall drew over 500 listeners, and the HERD gave away over $25,000 in prizes, leading up to a broadcast from outside the COLISEUM before the USC-NOTRE DAME game, with the station logo and COWHERD's logo projected onto the back of the stadium scoreboards at the fabled "peristyle end."
