Two FM-Translator Combos Sold; Hubbard Applies For All-Digital AM Test In Maryland

WHITNEY RADIO BROADCASTING, INC. is selling Full Service AC WENT-A and W286CD/GLOVERSVILLE, NY to MICHAEL SCHAUS' THINK TANK MEDIA, INC. for $390,000 ($19,500 escrow, $135,500 cash at closing, $235,000 in a promissory note).

In other filings with the FCC, R & B COMMUNICATIONS, INC. is selling Sports WWTM-A and W232DL (ESPN 1400)/DECATUR, AL  to BRANTLEY BROADCAST ASSOCIATES, LLC for $117,000.

HUBBARD's WASHINGTON DC FCC LICENSE SUB, LLC has applied for an STA to operate Triple A WWFD-A (THE GAMUT)/FREDERICK, MD in all-digital mode under experimental authority.

LANSER BROADCASTING CORPORATION has filed for an STA to operate News-Talk-Religion WPNW-A (THE PLEDGE)/ZEELAND, MI non-directionally with a temporary antenna and lower power after its transmitter building burned down.

CONNOISSEUR MEDIA LICENSES, LLC has applied for an STA to operate Sports WTKZ-A (ESPN LEHIGH VALLEY)/ALLENTOWN, PA with reduced power in non-directional mode due to the need to replace a power transformer in the transmitter, which will take 4-6 weeks to replace.

And DESERT BROADCASTING, INC. has requested an extension of its Silent STA for KBWR-LP/BURNS, OR due to wind damage to its antenna.

The commission cancelled the license and dismissed the application for license to cover for iHEARTMEDIA's CITICASTERS LICENSES, INC.'s Silent KWDZ-A/SALT LAKE CITY after the company surrendered the license on APRIL 25th.  iHEARTMEDIA bought the station in 2015 from RADIO DISNEY and took it silent.

And WILLIAM W. MCCUTCHEN, III's permit for KXGO/WILLOW CREEK, CA was cancelled after tolling of the permit was terminated.  The station's construction was dependent on a channel change for his KJNY/FERNDALE, CA, which was in turn dependent on a channel change for KMMI/LOLETA, CA, and MCCUTCHEN claimed that KMMI was no longer willing to commit to reimburse him for his expenses in his own channel change.  The Commission said that it would not have granted the original tolling had it been aware that MCCUTCHEN owns both KXGO and KJNY.
