A CALIFORNIA man allegedly upset by the FCC's move to rescind its Net Neutrality order has been arrested for threatening to kill FCC Chairman AJIT PAI's children.
MARKARA MAN of NORWALK, CA was arrested after sending three e-mails in DECEMBER, one charging that PAI was responsible for two children's suicides over the repeal of the regulations ("their blood is forever on your hands"), a second listing preschools in ARLINGTON, VA and adding "I will find your children and I will kill them," and a third with a picture of PAI with a framed photo of his family in the foreground.
MAN used an anonymous GMail account ("stubblemanliness@gmail.com") but the FBI traced the e-mails using an IP address that GOOGLE had at one point associated with the account to MAN using an open-source tool (the burner account's recovery e-mail was MAN's) and the agency says he admitted that he sent the e-mails and issued an apology to PAI.
MAN faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison if convicted.
