Rosanne Cash To Be 'Free Speech Award' Honoree

The AMERICANA MUSIC ASSOCIATION (AMA) has revealed that ROSANNE CASH will be he the 2018 "SPIRIT OF AMERICANA" Free Speech Award honoree. This award is one of the Lifetime Achievement Awards the organization gives out each year at its AMERICANA HONORS & AWARDS show taking place at the RYMAN AUDITORIUM in NASHVILLE on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12th.
Other 2018 honorees include OLIVIA RECORDS founders JUDY DLUGACZ and CRIS WILLIAMSON for the Jack Emerson Lifetime Achievement Award for Executive; IRMA THOMAS as the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award for Performance; K.D. LANG for the Americana Trailblazer Award honoree; and BUDDY GUY for the Lifetime Achievement Award for Instrumentalist. The final 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award is for Artist of the Year with the contenders being BRANDI CARLILE, JASON ISBELL, MARGO PRICE, and JOHN PRINE. The choice, as voted by the AMA members, will be announced soon.
