First Annual Conclave Radio Award Winners Honored

...And The Winners Are

Congrats go out to all of the winners of the first annual CONCLAVE RADIO AWARDS, held THURSDAY, JULY 19th, at the 2018 CONCLAVE SUMMER LEARNING CONFERENCE, #CONCLAVE43, at the DOUBLETREE BY HILTON MINNEAPOLIS-PARK PLACE. 

ENTERCOM COO WEEZIE KRAMER received the CONCLAVE’s top honor at the awards luncheon, as recipient of the 2018 ROCKWELL AWARD, the annual lifetime achievement award to an individual of unquestioned accomplishment. Classic Rock KQRS/MINNEAPOLIS was named the “Iconic Station of the Year,” while KRBE/HOUSTON was honored as Major-Market Station of the Year. KSTP (KS95)/MINNEAPOLIS took home the Large-Market Station of the Year title, while Medium-Market Station of the Year went to WMAS/SPRINGFIELD, with WIXX/GREEN BAY, WI winning the Small-Market Station of the Year award. 

“This was truly a great year for THE CONCLAVE, which has grown 500% since 2014, with the largest attendance the conference has seen in decades," CONCLAVE Chair LORI LEWIS said. "When asked, 'How many in the room are attending THE CONCLAVE for the first time?' 80% of the room raised their hands. We are building new cume (new attendees, if you will) every single year, while sustaining appointment setting listening nicely with current cume (returning attendees) ... As one attendee said, ‘I would consider [Conclave] one of the premiere events for the radio industry. But I also like that it has a little bit of an underground feel with less than 500 people attending.’”
