CMA Hosts Fifth Annual CMA EDU Executive Summit, Features Luke Combs Panel Discussion

The COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA) hosted its fifth annual CMA EDU EXECUTIVE SUMMIT last SUNDAY, JULY 22nd through TUESDAY, JULY 24th for the executive officers of its CMA EDU collegiate chapters. Under the leadership of CMA Project Mgr./Community Outreach LINDSEY JONES, CMA EDU EXECUTIVE SUMMIT attendees were given the opportunities to build relationships with industry professionals as well as gain insight from informative presentations by industry executives.
CMA EDU EXECUTIVE SUMMIT presentations included CMA CEO SARAH TRAHERN offering a look into the history of the CMA; CMA FOUNDATION Exec. Dir. TIFFANY KEARNS and CMA Dr. Dir./Marketing CATHERINE FRIZZELL sharing current initiatives of the CMA FOUNDATION; guest speaker presentations from NASHVILLE CONVENTION & VISITOR CORP. Pres./CEO BUTCH SPYRIDON, CONCORD MUSIC Sr. Dir./National Grass Roots Video & Tour Promotion AYAPPA BIDDANDA; a CMA EDU alumni panel titled "FROM CMA EDU TO INDUSTRY PROFESSIONAL" featuring MARBALOO MARKETING Asst./Interactive ALDEN BURGE, RED LIGHT MANAGEMENT Asst. BRIARMAN WHITFIELD, and UMG/CAPITOL CMG Coord./Commercial Partnerships LAUREN TIDWELL. SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE (SMN) CEO RANDY GOODMAN presented "THE EVOLUTION OF DIGITAL STREAMING," and a panel following included the SMN team behind the digital marketing strategies that helped elevate the career of RIVER HOUSE/COLUMBIA NASHVILLE's LUKE COMBS. The panel included COLUMBIA NASHVILLE EVP/Promotion & Artist Development SHANE ALLEN, SMN Dir./Marketing PAIGE ALTONE, SMN Assoc.
