ENTRAVISION COMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION second quarter revenue rose 5% year-to-year to $74.329 million, with net income up 38% to $4.840 million (5 cents/share). Radio revenue was flat at $17.24 million, with television off 3% to $36.531 million and digital up 32% to $20.558 million.
Chairman/CEO WALTER F. ULLOA said, "During the second quarter, we achieved revenue growth driven by increases in our digital media segment. This growth in our digital media segment offsets a decrease in our television segment, while our radio segment was flat. We also improved our free cash flow and net income over last year's second quarter. Additionally, we continued to build our digital footprint through our acquisition of SMADEX, a digital advertising technology company, while implementing steps to more efficiently align operations and reduce costs. Looking ahead, we remain well positioned to build on our success in further attracting Latino and other audiences worldwide, and expanding our advertiser base to the benefit of our shareholders."
ENTRAVISION's board also declared a 5 cents/share quarterly cash dividend for Class A, Class B and Class U common stockholders, payable SEPTEMBER 28th to shareholders of record as of SEPTEMBER 14th; the common stock will trade ex-dividend on SEPTEMBER 13th.
