Kenny Chesney's 'Songs For the Saints' Debuts As #1 Country Album

ALL ACCESS congratulates BLUE CHAIR/WARNER BROS./WEA artist KENNY CHESNEY and his team for a #1 Country album debut on his latest project, "Songs For The Saints." The 11-song set moved more than 64,000 copies in pure album sales and 77,000 in total consumption. In addition to his #1 Country opening, CHESNEY bowed at #2 on the all-genre album chart. This week's strong debut followed last week's news that "Live In No Shoes Nation," CHESNEY's 29-song live album released in OCTOBER, had been certified PLATINUM.

Inspired by the destruction wreaked on THE VIRGIN ISLANDS at the hands of hurricanes IRMA and MARIA in 2017, proceeds from the 11-song set will go toward his LOVE FOR THE CITY FUND, which he hopes will help rebuilding efforts. Along with many others, CHESNEY's home on ST. JOHN was destroyed as a result of those storms.
