Former RAB Pres./CEO GARY FRIES has joined EXCELSIOR RADIO NETWORKS as a consultant for subsidiaries DIAL GLOBAL and MJI INTERACTIVE. FRIES served as the head of the RAB from 1991 through this year and headed UNISTAR and TRANSTAR before that, establishing the satellite radio formats that are now DIAL GLOBAL's Digital 24/7 Formats.
"I’m excited to be affiliated once again with some of my pre-RAB colleagues and look forward to helping both DIAL GLOBAL and MJI continue their growth trajectory," FRIES said.
EXCELSIOR CEO SPENCER BROWN added that FRIES "will focus on growing the DIAL GLOBAL Digital 24/7 Formats drawing on his experience as a pioneer in the field. He will also work with senior management at DIAL GLOBAL and MJI INTERACTIVE to identify new business expansion opportunities that combine traditional and non-traditional programming."
DIAL GLOBAL co-CEO/Pres. DAVID LANDAU said that FRIES "is one of the rare talents in radio who has a total understanding of the sales, programming and operational aspects of our business. We are truly excited to be associated with GARY, and we are confident that he is going to help us immensely with his insight, knowledge, and contacts."
