BEASLEY Sports WPEN (97.5 THE FANATIC)/PHILADELPHIA evening co-host and frequent fill-in GEOFF MOSHER has exited the station, reports the PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER's PHILLY.COM. MOSHER tweeted TUESDAY (8/14) that he had decided to pursue other opportunities to be announced.
MOSHER joined THE FANATIC in 2015 and recently launched a new EAGLES podcast, "INSIDE THE BIRDS," with BILLY OSBOURNE. He previously served as a sportswriter for the NEWS-JOURNAL in WILMINGTON, DE and worked for COMCAST SPORTSNET PHILADELPHIA (now NBC SPORTS PHILADELPHIA).
Personal news: Last night was my final shift @975TheFanatic. After three tremendous years there, I've decided to pursue opportunities that I'm not yet ready to announce but will soon. I appreciate the opportunity 97.5 gave when I first came over in 2015 and during my time there.
— Geoff Mosher (@GeoffMosherNFL) August 14, 2018Working at The Fanatic was an amazing experience that allowed me to interact with fans in a way that was different than during my time in newspapers and at CSN. I cherished every moment and appreciate all the callers/listeners, whether we agreed or not. Hat tip to all of you.
— Geoff Mosher (@GeoffMosherNFL) August 14, 2018I also want to thank all the great hosts and producers who helped me along the way. I had no hosting experience before I got to The Fanatic. I learned from some of the best in the business by studying them and adapting what I learned into my own style of hosting.
— Geoff Mosher (@GeoffMosherNFL) August 14, 2018Special thanks to @shandershow and @devong975, two guys I had a chance to co-host with frequently. They're rock stars with tremendous futures. Love them like brothers.
— Geoff Mosher (@GeoffMosherNFL) August 14, 2018You haven't heard the last of me (which is unfortunate for some). I'll still be actively involved in the Philly sports scene and media. I'll announce more when the time is right.
