JOURNAL COMMUNICATIONS radio revenue rose 10.3% year-to-year to $7.65 million for NOVEMBER, credited to increases in the political and developmental categories. Political ads alone contributed $700,000 to the division's revenues.
The company's total revenues rose 23% to $49.61 million, including new TV properties acquired on DECEMBER 5, 2005 from EMMIS (ABC affiliate KGUN-TV/TUCSON, FOX affiliate WFTX-TV/FT. MYERS, and an LMA arrangement to program CBS affiliate KMTV-TV/OMAHA); without those stations, revenue rose 10.6% and ad revenues rose 11.2%.
