Rock Promotion Vet Sam Calle Passes

RIP Sam Calle

Longtime Rock promotion veteran SAM CALLE passed away on the evening of THURSDAY, AUGUST 16th at his home, in WICKENBURG, AZ. He was 74.

CALLE got his start with ABC Records, and also had a long stint as a National Rock Dr at MCA RECORDS, working with superstar artists such as ELTON JOHN and THE WHO. In the early 80s, he started his own independent promotion company, WE'RE TALKING MUSIC, where he worked with many of the top rock artists over the next 20 years.

CALLE is survived by his sister, CORRINE. Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
