WESTWOOD ONE's "STERLING ON SUNDAY" celebrated its first anniversary in syndication on SUNDAY (8/19). The show, created and hosted by WALTER STERLING (aka consultant WALTER SABO), originated as a local show on ENTERCOM News-Talk WPHT-A/PHILADELPHIA and now airs on over 60 stations.
“My goal is to create a pretty distracting show to take the listener from the weekend to the weekday,” said STERLING. “We’ve grown from one affiliate, WPHT in PHILADELPHIA, to over 60 major market FMs in a year – we have stations from iHEART, ALPHA, CUMULUS, ENTERCOM, and TOWNSQUARE. The most prized affiliate -- (CHOICE BROADCASTING News-Talk KUSG-A-K227CT) THE POINT in GUAM, which clears live. Industry support has been exemplary and it’s quite humbling.”
