Amy Lewis Departs Mornings At KFBK/Sacramento, Cristina Mendonsa Named Morning Co-Host

AMY LEWIS has exited as morning co-host at iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk KFBK-A/SACRAMENTO. LEWIS has worked at KFBK in two long stints, the first in 1993-2000 and the latest beginning in 2006 after returning from KABC-A/LOS ANGELES; before initially joining KFBK, LEWIS worked at METRO NETWORKS and KRAK and KNCI/SACRAMENTO. Her departure from KFBK was initially reported by MATTHEW KEYS' THE DESK.

In addition, ALL ACCESS has confirmed that former longtime crosstown TEGNA ABC affiliate KXTV (ABC 10) anchor CRISTINA MENDONSA, who has been a contributor to KFBK, will take LEWIS' place as DAN MITCHINSON's co-host, starting AUGUST 27th.
Mendonsa In a press release issued later THURSDAY morning, iHEARTMEDIA SACRAMENTO SVP of Programming CURTISS JOHNSON said, "We’re thrilled to have CRISTINA join iHEARTMEDIA SACRAMENTO as co-anchor/host of THE KFBK MORNING NEWS. She is a native of NORTHERN CALIFORNIA as well as an Emmy and MURROW award winning multi-media journalist with decades of experience as a public speaker, educator and entrepreneur with MENDONSA MEDIA.”
