EVANS Country KWFP (92.1 THE WOLF)/RENO will be moving off 92.1, and on to HD-fed transmitter 95.1 K236CN/RENO and 100.9 KRFN-HD2, the HD signal for EVANS' AC sister KFRN (FUN 101)/SPARKS, NV. That leaves the 92/1 frequency open, which allows EVANS to launch a new Alternative format, "ALT 92.1,” at midnight tonight. The station will air 5,000 songs commercial free.
Yesterday (8/23), KWFP tweeted, "THE WOLF is moving to 95.1 soon. Please set your car radios to 95.1 where you can already hear THE WOLF. You can also hear THE WOLF at 100.9 HD-2 ... if you have an HD (High Definition) radio ... of course you can hear THE WOLF on the website and on the TUNEIN app. We'll soon be introducing THE WOLF app for your mobile devices. Thanks for listening!"
