VERMONT ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS Exec. Dir. JIM CONDON has passed away of cancer at 60. CONDON, also a State Representative who represented COLCHESTER in the VERMONT legislature, died THURSDAY night (8/23).
CONDON was a radio host and News Dir. in 1989-2002 at WKDR-A/BURLINGTON, VT, mostly partnered with LOUIE MANNO (also his partner at WFAN/MYSTIC, CT), after serving as News Director at WJOY-A and WQCR/BURLINGTON in 1984-88. He also co-owned the RADIO DELI AND GROCERY STORE in BURLINGTON and served seven terms in the VERMONT House before announcing he would not seek re-election this year due to his illness. CONDON is survived by his wife, WJOY morning host GINNY MCGEHEE and son THOMAS.
