PEARL RECORDS' GARTH BROOKS has unveiled the date for his NOTRE DAME STADIUM show in SOUTH BEND, IN (NET NEWS 7/9). BROOKS will be the first artist to play the venue on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20th at 7p (ET); tickets are scheduled to go on sale FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14th at 10a (ET) here. All seats will be sold as best available at a total cost of $98.95 per seat. BROOKS will reveal more about the concert on his "INSIDE STUDIO G: A MONDAY NIGHT CONVERSATION" via FACEBOOK LIVE tonight (8/27).
Also during "INSIDE STUDIO G," BROOKS will be releasing a special code that will allow fans to download his new live album, "Triple Live," free of charge tonight (8/27) via TICKETMASTER. "Triple Live" is a specially created mix for fans that will feature three discs of music recorded during his three-year "GARTH BROOKS WORLD TOUR WITH TRISHA YEARWOOD." Additionally, the limited number of free copies distributed via TICKETMASTER will feature a fan mix that will allow the listener to adjust the speaker or headphone settings to hear the music as if you were in the middle of the crowd or up on stage from the band's point of view.
Additionally, BROOKS also celebrated another "first" over the weekend during the last of his two back-to-back sold-out performances at the GRAND OLE OPRY (NET NEWS 8/10). Following the final curtain call, the OPRY crowd remained in their seats, chanting and cheering for more. For the first time in OPRY history, the curtain was raised for an encore, and BROOKS performed an additional set.
