Former NPR NEWS Executive Editor MADHULIKA SIKKA is joining THE WASHINGTON POST as Executive Producer for the paper's audio team to create what the POST calls a "new flagship podcast" launching later in 2018. SIKKA, who has been serving as Public Editor at PBS for the past year and previously worked at MIC as VP/Executive Editor, is a former Executive Producer of NPR's "MORNING EDITION" and a Senior Producer at ABC NEWS.
Managing Editor EMILIO GARCIA-RUIZ said that the paper "is making a major investment in audio following the tremendous success of podcasts like 'CAN HE DO THAT?' and 'PRESIDENTIAL.' MADHULIKA brings to this role incredible news judgment and deep knowledge about the medium, positioning her to develop a show that aligns with THE POST’s commitment to high-quality journalism and innovation.”
