ALL ACCESS extends sympathies to family and friends of label industry vet MIKE OWENS, who passed away SUNDAY (9/2) following a heart attack. He was 53. OWENS was waging a courageous battle with End Stage Renal Disease at the time of his death.

A former member of ARISTA NASHVILLE's first-ever promo staff, who most recently served as VP/Creative for SEA GAYLE MUSIC, OWENS had been on a kidney transplant waiting list for four years, and his medical bills were rising. A fundraiser, "MUSIC FOR MIKE," scheduled for TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25th at NASHVILLE's WAR MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM will go on as planned (NET NEWS 8/17). ALAN JACKSON, BROOKS & DUNN, BRAD PAISLEY, DIAMOND RIO, BLACKHAWK, PHIL VASSAR, and STEVE WARINER are among the confirmed artists set to appear and perform, with proceeds benefiting the MIKE OWENS FAMILY TRUST.
