Westwood One Launches Women-Oriented Empow(h)er Podcast Network

WESTWOOD ONE is launching a podcast network targeted at female listeners, debuting this FALL with nine series.
The EMPOW(h)ER PODCAST NETWORK, announced at the IAB Podcast Upfront in NEW YORK TODAY (9/6), will include the existing political series "RUN LIKE A GIRL"; NBC SPORTS GROUP's "ON HER TURF," a sports series based on the Instagram account of the same name and debuting SEPTEMBER 19th; the previously-announced "SUZE ORMAN'S WOMEN AND MONEY SHOW"; "STRAIGHT TALK WITH ROSS MATHEWS," previously with PODCAST ONE and WONDERY; "POP TALK WITH ROSS MATHEWS," debuting TODAY; the Country music interview show "WOMEN WANT TO HEAR WOMEN" with NASH FM's ELAINA SMITH, which launched on JUNE 15th; CUMULUS Hot AC WPLJ/NEW YORK and WESTWOOD ONE host JAYDE DONOVAN's motherhood podcast "BAD MAMAS WITH JAYDE" (launching FEBRUARY 7th) and pregnancy-themed "40 WEEKS WITH JAYDE DONIVAN" (MARCH 18th); and "BLK + IN GRAD SCHOOL," an existing podcast joining the network and hosted by PODCAST MOVEMENT WESTWOOD ONE Pitch winner ALLANTE WHITMORE.
