KPWR Goes To School With Bow Wow

EMMIS Top 40/Rhythmic KPWR (POWER 106)/LOS ANGELES teamed with SONY BMG recording artist BOW WOW on a cool school promotion, BOW WOW Principal For A Day. SCHURR H.S. in LOS ANGELES has been announced as the winning school, and BOW WOW will be Principal For A Day on THURSDAY (12/7). He'll give a pep talk to the football team, meet with school pageant officials, visit the school's blood drive, attend a student-of-the-month breakfast, read announcements on the intercom and visit classrooms. BOW WOW will wrap up the day broadcasting with POWER 106's BIG BOY IN THE MORNING and with a live performance for the SCHURR H.S. student body.

POWER 106 held the contest online and invited all LOS ANGELES schools to register their schools online and place their votes on www.power106.fm to win the private event with BOW WOW.  The contest drew over 2 million votes within four weeks. SCHURR H.S. led the competition the entire four weeks and won by a 2% margin. The contest was open to all LOS ANGELES-area schools, and more than 100 participated.
