ROCK TO RECOVERY is holding its third annual benefit concert this SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 15th honoring MOBY and TOMMY VEXT of BAD WOLVES. The event, hosted by actor BRYAN FOGEL will be held at the FONDA THEATER in LOS ANGELES featuring music from STEEL PANTHER.
The ROCK TO RECOVERY music program was founded by former KORN guitarist, WES GEER, who noted that music took on a new meaning to him when he was new to recovery. After staying sober for two years, WES was offered the job as KORN’s touring guitar player. After successfully touring the world with the band for the next few years, he developed a way to bring music into the treatment setting.
In ROCK TO RECOVERY, clients work together as a team to form a ‘band.’ The goal of each session is to write and record an original song and bond with others. The program brings the power of music into drug and alcohol addiction treatment centers in order to encourage positive self-expression and to work together towards a common goal utilizing the healing power of music. Since the program's founding in 2012, it has reached over a hundred treatment facilities within the U.S.
