“It’s hard to think of a conversation that’s more entrenched than the one around guns -- Americans are polarized, frustrated, and stuck,” said WAMU Sr. Dir. of Content and News ANDI MCDANIEL. “With GUNS & AMERICA, we’ll have 10 talented journalists, from diverse communities around the nation, taking a deep and unflinching look at the role guns play in American life. We believe this kind of in-depth and nuanced storytelling has the potential to change the national conversation.”
The AUDION FELLOWSHIP program is backed by a $5.3 million grant from THE KENDEDA FUND and is being led by WAMU Dir./Collaborative Reporting JEREMY BERNFELD.
