ALT 92.9 Debuts In Huntsville, AL

iHEARTMEDIA/HUNTSVILLE, AL  began stunting on translator W225AH and WQRV–HD3 as ‘TRASH PANDAS 92.9’ to celebrate the announcement last week of the team name of a new minor league baseball team coming to the area - THE ROCKET CITY TRASH PANDAS, by playing baseball themed music, baseball movie clips and comedy bits.

At 9:29a this morning (9/13), the station launched "ALT 92.9, HUNTSVILLE’S NEW ALTERNATIVE. 

SVP ERICH WEST said, ‘HUNTSVILLE has never had an alternative music station, so there was a huge opportunity to fill a hole with a format that’s never been done in the market before. This is a great addition to our already strong cluster and will bolster our commitment for our advertising partners." 

PD JOHNNY MAZE added, "iHEART is the leader in this format, and I am totally stoked for Huntsville. Many of ALT 92.9's bands have never had the exposure in this market before and I believe HUNTSVILLE is ready and will totally embrace ALT 92.9."
