THE TOM KENT RADIO NETWORK (TKRN) has launched "SWEET SOUL WEEKEND," hosted by WBLS/New York personality JEFF FOXX, which offers the soul classics primarily from the '80s and 90s and is delivered via satellite and available all weekend long. It's already heard on dozens of stations, including WZOO/CLEVELAND; WLXN/GREENSBORO, NC; WUFO/BUFFALO; KSUG/LITTLE ROCK; and WIVY/LEXINGTON, KY, among others.
"The idea came to me back in JANUARY on MLK Day," CEO-Pres. TOM KENT said. "MARTIN LUTHER KING once famously said 'The most segregated time in AMERICA is SUNDAY.' He, of course, was referring to church. Radio is much the same way. Unlike any other show before it, this is a show that targets Urban AC and Classic Hits stations with songs that were hits in both formats.
"JEFF is without a doubt the best jock I've ever heard doing either format. I would challenge you
to listen to the aircheck link and hear if you don't agree. JEFF fits TKRN's 'Fun' brand perfectly and I've personally placed the show on both our full time 24/7 formats. With over 25 years in NEW YORK CITY radio, JEFF knows and is friends with most of the artists he's featuring. His stories are amazing ... listen to his aircheck ... just incredible!""I’ve never had so much fun on the radio!" host JEFF FOXX said. "SWEET SOUL WEEKEND is a big party for everybody! Our listeners are so much a part of our show. We laugh, we share stories, we celebrate this great music together! SWEET SOUL WEEKEND is the most fun radio on radio with the most fun soul hits!"
