Kudos to HUBBARD RADIO Country WIL (NEW COUNTRY 92.3)/ST. LOUIS afternoon co-host REMY, who helped raise thousands of dollars for the HUMANE SOCIETY OF MISSOURI during a marathon 14-hour swing-a-thon earlier this week. The money raised will help fund the HUMANE SOCIETY's efforts to rescue animals displaced by HURRICANE FLORENCE.
REMY swung a golf club throughout the day and was joined by WIL's BUD and BROADWAY, KELLY, and other HUBBARD/ST. LOUIS on-air talent who came out to "pinch swing" on REMY's behalf. The total number of golf balls hit by REMY and his pinch swingers was 7,521. "I am astonished REMY was able to swing a club for 14 hours straight," said WIL afternoon co-host MASON. "We're blown away by the support from our ST. LOUIS community." MASON also arranged for an in-studio deep tissue massage for REMY, who said, "Everything on my body hurts."
