CMT-TV will honor the Queen Of Country Music, LORETTA LYNN, with the "Artist Of A Lifetime" award at this year's all-female "CMT ARTISTS OF THE YEAR" special, set to premiere WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 17th on CMT-TV at 8p (ET). The 90-minute program will feature CARRIE UNDERWOOD, MIRANDA LAMBERT, KELSEA BALLERINI, MAREN MORRIS, KAREN FAIRCHILD and KIMBERLY SCHLAPMAN of LITTLE BIG TOWN, and LADY ANTEBELLUM's HILLARY SCOTT, as well as more surprise guests (NET NEWS 9/11). ACADEMY AWARD winning actress SISSY SPACEK will present the award to LYNN; SPACEK portrayed LYNN in the film "Coal Miner's Daughter," based upon LYNN's autobiographical song of the same name.
"I'm always so proud when I receive any awards for my music, but when I heard it was this year's 'Artist Of A Lifetime' award, it made me really happy," said LYNN. "It's an honor to be able to make music that people enjoy, and I'm really excited to have a new album coming out. Thank you, CMT, for acknowledging me with this award and for honoring the women in Country music at 'ARTISTS OF THE YEAR.'"
