KPNY/Alliance, NE Sold To Mission Nebraska

HALSTED COMMUNICATIONS is selling Hot AC KPNY (POWERHOUSE 102)/ALLIANCE, NE and translator K269DO/SCOTTSBLUFF, NE to MISSION NEBRASKA INC. for $360,000. The buyer owns noncommercial Religion KROA-A and Religion KMMJ (THE BRIDGE 95.7)/GRAND ISLAND and has a time brokerage agreement to take over programming on KPNY and its translator as of JANUARY 15, 2007.

KPNY is operating on Special Temporary Authority because its license renewal application was not filed by its then-owner, the late LEON G. HALSTEAD, before expiration in 2005. His children petitioned the FCC to allow continued operation based on the elder HALSTEAD's severe illness and major depression at the time the renewal was due, and the Commission granted an STA earlier this year.
