Kix Brooks Raises $140,000 During Two-Day 'Kickin' It With Kix' Benefit

Kudos to Country artist/nationally syndicated radio personality KIX BROOKS, who raised $140,000 during his recent "KICKIN' IT WITH KIX" benefit to secure the future and mission of WINNSBORO, LA's PRINCESS THEATRE. “Preserving venues like the PRINCESS, which bring the arts to rural communities, is more important than ever,” explained BROOKS. “The arts inspire, and institutions like this theatre provide a necessary public service and a convenient, affordable location to experience live entertainment.”

The two-day fundraising event earned enough donations to keep the PRINCESS THEATRE around for years to come. “KIX’s support of the PRINCESS THEATRE has brought new life into the PRINCESS,” said PRINCESS THEATRE FOUNDATION Pres. ELEANOR HATFIELD. “He believed in us, yet challenged us. With his support and his belief in what the PRINCESS brings to our community, we have been able to re-energize our efforts to serve our city, parish, and region. We are excited to have a friend like KIX who understands what cultural outposts like the PRINCESS bring to small rural communities.”
