Spanish Talk Radio Pioneer Juancarlos Ortiz Dead At 45

JUANCARLOS ORTIZ, the veteran LOS ANGELES Spanish-language talk radio host, author and motivational speaker who was most recently on the air at KLAA-A (AM 830), died WEDNESDAY (12/6) at PROVIDENCE ST. JOSEPH MEDICAL CENTER in BURBANK, CA from complications due to leukemia. He was 45.

"JUANCARLOS was a tremendously talented and loved member of our AM 830 family as well as the entire LOS ANGELES broadcast community," said KLAA-A GM ALAN FULLER. "But more importantly he was a good man, a wonderful father and a gentle soul who is gone much too soon. Our hearts are broken. He touched many lives through personal contact and the airwaves and will be missed immensely."
