Country PPM Shares Off Slightly In September

Country's September Ratings

Country radio was down slightly overall from AUGUST to SEPTEMBER in three key demos, according to the just-released SEPTEMBER PPM monthly ratings from NIELSEN AUDIO. Among persons 6+, the format dipped 7.2-7.1 month-to-month, with a sharper decline from SEPTEMBER 2017 (7.7-7.1). Country radio's target 25-54 audience was similar, shifting 6.9-6.8 from AUGUST to SEPTEMBER and 7.4-6.9 compared to SEPTEMBER '17. Younger shares were off, too; 18-34 numbers fell 8.4-8.1 AUGUST to SEPTEMBER, with year-to-year shares among millennials also down from 2017 levels (8.4-8.1).
